Bon Voyage - Bone Voyage

Okay I did a little rant about this band earlier today, but it wasn't anything negative at all. Ah, Bon Voyage, they sound like how I described them earlier, guitars are fuzzy and twangy and twinkly and make the songs head nodders and certainly enjoyable. The reverb and fuzz and twinkly twang aren't here to attack you like in other acts, but they do rock out. The vocals are hard to get into at first but after a while they make the songs a lot prettier in a sense. All of this with background sounds that really make the songs deeper, such as the outerspacey twirly sound in I Just Wanna (Be With You), make this album a really adorable one, it's very cute. This happens to be a Starflyer 59 side project; belonging to Jason Martin playing the instruments and his wife Julie Martin delivering the vocals with a cast of others joining in when the time comes.
