Flybatsu is a bassy noise rock band formed in the vein of no-wave(ish/inspired) acts such as The Mall, Black Cat #13, Melt Banana and Lightning Bolt. Danceable yet abrasive jams, nauseating bass lines and drums that are on point (or not, every other minute sounds like the band is falling apart). It feels like that lost early 00's scene that GSL/31G were all about. A mysterious and delicious two piece hailing from Southern California that gets around but should get around more often. They're going to be playing a show at my house and I hope they wreck everyone's life. They're working on an upcoming demo that will hopefully be out soon. They're similar artists on Last.fm are The Avenging Disco Godfathers of Soul, honestly, such a good sign.
