Metroschifter with or without the THE in the front... I like this album. I dug their compilation Encapsulated, which featured the likes of The Promise Ring and Refused as well as Ink|Dagger, but I never listened to the ACTUAL band until now. This is rocking. I guess they sound like their good hearty selves, but personally I get a New Brutalism vibe mixed in with a little bit of Unwound, but keep in mind I haven't listened to either band in a while. Well the story goes that the band members avoided one another for six years or so and then recorded this beast of guitar tones and backwards lyrics, released under the radar.
