Keep Shelly In Athens mixes a definite dream pop sound, or aesthetic, or something, but makes it modern, or did in 2010. Upbeat, retro feel, but doesn't most dreampop strive to sound retro? This is a different sound than Cocteau Twins, more or less like A.R. Kane at their poppiest and loungiest, with a sweet something that isn't shy of Intastella. Has a really hip groove to it. Chillwave is something that comes up on looking at their last.fm page, but that seems forced. It is what it is.
