Okay so nowadays this probably sounds a lot more dated than anyone would ever want to admit. Everyone from Johanna Newsom (name?) to The Black Heart Procession to Vampire Weekend was/is getting in on this, even nearly thirty years later. Back in the day this was what I had been explained to me as 'The mintest sound ever'. Eventually one of the members formed Everything But The Girl and Marine Girls were no more. I don't know how to explain this, this is exactly like every bands Great Grandfather right now. Sometimes it's just vocals and a guitar (not acoustic) other times it's a jam fest of pop beats and then there are times where they get away with jazzy percussion and bass.
