The Promise Ring - Nothing Feels Good

I don't know if you know this by now but I really despise blogs that only have a picture and a download link, even more I hate it when the blogger only says a few short words such as 'FUCK YEAH THIS SHIT IS SOO GOOD' it really brings me down and fills me up with bad vibes. What I hate the most though is a real life situation, you are really high and hanging out with some girl and you decide to give her the option of choosing one of two of your favorites CDs for her to take, these are your most prized CDs, not because of their rarity but because of their music, their OOMPFNESS, the way it speaks to you...

She chooses one and you both listen to it and then she somehow got the idea that you both are listening to see if she would like it and she critiques each and every song. Anyways before I get into it, I have to tell you that The Promise Ring have been one of my most favorite and dearest bands for quite sometime. In some really weird fashion, all these guys hardcore/emo bands took to the side and The Promise Ring was born, a band full of melodic hooks, power chords and snap shot drumming, making a very memorable melancholic album that comes along with being dueled with shady recording quality that is also at the same time really modest and dreamy. There is nothing bad with this, it's a great hit that even spawned a music video and a spot on MTV's website (but I'm sure even Saetia are up there too). Formed around 1995 and made music until early 2002. The singer and Drummer still hang around in Maritime who are just as exceptional, I don't quite know what happened to the later members, but I do know that one of the bassists was arrested for rape.
