Don't quote me here because I may be wrong, but this is really just definitely some of the greatest music I've heard, but it could be that I'm just having a really good day. I won't get into specifics because I do not understand it myself, but I feel really good. Half Dead/Half Dreaming. That's the kind of soul-stuff that hardly makes The Sandwitches a shitty maelstrom of boring. Honestly, currently at least, they are a great trio of gals, two of them are female at least. Their drummer was a female as well but I don't know who replaced her. At any rate this, to me (don't quote me on this), sounds like Lois gone Americana, it's a good sound. The Vocals while being eerily relaxed, dig into your ears while the instruments do their off tempo thing, or they're right on key, I don't know too much about that kind of stuff. In a way, the background instruments (ala sacred sounding trumpet, or is it trombone?) push this album past most boundaries that could be constructed. The first release for it's label, Turn Up!. Buy it or don't, but do realize the extent of powerful hands this group has, all the way from the ground up.
