Abberant Strain - 1

I feel like my life is in full gear right now, I've got the power glove and everything. Unfortunately there is no game to play, there is no humorous indie girl in the side lines chanting 'go on playa playa, play!' there is no dollar sign glowing in my eyes helping me forget that i don't need something to be fully consumed by the righteous pleasure known as enjoyment. I'm a tad bit miserable, but the legos are in the form of a mansion. I just wish the sun was warmer so all this plastic would melt.

I made Josh a mix CD, and I like making mix CD's. This time I'm doing something a little bit different. I'm mixing up my love for packaging letter mail in weird 'envelopes' and creating CD covers out of scratch. It's coming out amazing, although I don't know how to add 'actual' color so i'm hoping that my pencil doodles will mean enough and carry enough emotional lightness to the pallette. I don't want anything to be so serious, but I do think that a light hearted attempt at some drawings masked with serious (revolutionary or not) quotes and poems will be able to create a meaty expression that both comforts and smiles.

Here's pictures of a mix CD I made in 2008:

So far I'm not done with my current one, but I got some poem on it by Barrett Warner entitled 'Til I'm Blue In The Face and a quote from Phillip K. Dick, the one about how, well you know... Phillip K. Dick shouldn't be taken seriously when he's giving advice on how to live your life, but you know, it sounds cool.

Today I'm going to my little cousins birthday party and I'm incredibly anxious to be getting there in one piece. I've been on a sweets run lately (not that we actually have any to eat) and the idea of eating cake is almost orgasmic.

As for this blog, there are a bunch of Compilations that I want to include on here, maybe even the mix CD I made for my buddy; but be ready. There's that One Man Band compilation that's really interesting (although a lot of the artists are totally on a folk/country type swing) and some minimal synth stuff that I think a lot of people will enjoy.
