The last few albums are a little bit too dark and gloomy to keep me comfortable, so here's a nice indie rock staple from 2005/2006. The flowery and airy album cover sent whimsical deep thoughts into my head which very much well accompanied the long drive home after the purchase. The guitar tone is warm, the lyrics are a breath of fresh air to a very dark life that I chose to lead (?)... The vivid bright colors that idle away in my memories as "I Am Warm And Powerful" plays are welcomed. Considering that there are a bunch of bands that are a dime a dozen and get more recognition than this band (although I'm sure I once saw Natalie Portman cite them as one of the best bands in recent years during a G4 interview, that was in 2007 though) I feel really good that I heard this before I heard the other guys. Really airy, whimsical, breathtaking, smile faces, cold drinks, sun is almost setting, etc etc.
