Lush were one of the most popular 'out-crowd' groups in the 90's, friends with some of the most popular acts on Creation Records and 4AD with a majority of their output Produced by Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau Twins. Their sound is really put in the 4AD section of really spaced out and half way repetitive gaze sound, really akin to the Cocteau Twins, at least on this release. I say that because for the most part, Lush, really did change their sound for each album and it became more apparent on their later ones that they were becoming a rock out alternative band. This one is very brooding and dark, lots of dark colors and some majik. They literally do sound Lush (as in tipsy).
