Here's another band that were pretty influential for me to like... you know... get my head out of my ass and move on from my shitty friends. I was definitely in my senior year in high school when this album came out and bought it perhaps the same month it was released at the record store a few towns down. I was instantly into it at first listen, perhaps even more than into it. I think at the time, a lot of my buddies and chums were into The Mars Volta, I know I was, and were really into how unique and proggy they were and I would play them this and be like, "Y'all are lame, check out The Ladies," they would blow it off most of the time and I don't know why. Anyways, I would sometimes put this on and play air guitar to Zach Crowe's guitar sounds. I don't know how to describe this, really sunny, bright, in your face pop (punk) with the tip of its fingers in psychadelia and whatever other genre that would make this sound cool.
