My, my, my a shoegaze split Cd. So... The Sunflower Conspiracy were a mysterious band out of Indianapolis, formed sometime in 1995 and came to an end in 1997. Honestly good, honestly amazing, honestly, honestly, honestly. I cannot comprehend what kind of mysterious shoegaze water this trio was drinking in order to make these two fantastic songs. I just can't even begin to explain how amazing these songs are. Not really harsh tones at all, so if you're looking for something imitating early JAMC then move on, even MBV is harsh compared to this band, although at the end of Ginger we get some crazy breakdown moments going on (which are a little nu metal-ish... which is weird, but fits nicely). Airiel Project One is an early project done by Airiel; the name change came about afterwards. If you know Airiel's music then you will love these tracks, blissful and constructed to sound like a slowly fleeting spaceship. How these two amazing bands got together is a mystery to me, but there's no mystery at how fucking great this split is.

Also, someone who appears to be one of the Sunflowers had taken the liberty of finding an unreleased track (I wonder how many there are) and mastering it; it's only in 160 kbs or something around there, but it's a necessity if you want more insight to the mysterious 90's shoegaze scene in the USA. http://shoegaze.livejournal.com/290667.html
