Non doesn't really seem to be one of those weird, creepy, cryptic, spooky bands with bad vibes. I don't honestly know what the themes are for any of his stuff, but I do appreciate it on cold days. I feel as though noise was made to hit that part in the human brain that is supposed to create moods of extreme uncomfortably and for that reason I don't really listen to much noise outside of Brighter Death Now and the legendary Asami Yamazaki, but some of it is really enjoyable even when it is completely harsh and unrelenting. Somehow NON's God and Beast is one of those albums that has a bit of sparkle and shine in a sea of nauseating rhythms; what I'm trying to say is that this doesn't sound like a random assortment of a siren going off, some dude hitting a metal bookcase and a highly distorted synthesizer (even though I do like some of that stuff), but it does sound like some vampire standing in the middle of an underground tunnel.
